Pennywell  is a local family run business started in th 2000’s, with the opening of their location on Old Pennywell Road. 

In its second generation of ownership, there are currently 24 locations opened in the St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Goulds, Paradise and CBS areas. 

In 2009 the company opened up their new bakery location on the corner of Frecker Drive and Blackmarsh Road. They have 3 refrigerated delivery trucks that bring fresh bread, assorted cookies and deli products 7 days a week to all Marie’s locations
